If there is one thing that I cannot look away from at a concert - it is the hand of the jazz musician. During the sets they give me so much amazement. They can look like a stream of water running through a tiny tickle or like a giant wave clashing at the shore.
With this postcard bundle of my photography, I am bringing you right to the Jay Phelps’ Miles Davis Tribute Show at the iconic Jazz Cafe in Camden, London.
You are taken to these very moments of my fascination for the skill and craft, these musician put into their physical ability to coordinate their body so it makes the beautiful harmonies we all are showing up for - night after night.
The hands featured belong to the legendary Jazz Trumpet player from Canada, Jay Phelps himself, the drummer Rod Youngs and the pianist Diân Gasper.
This one is one for the Jazz lovers like me.
